Purchasing Donor Sperm

    Deciding to become a single mom by choice has ALOT of layers. And one of the many layers is choosing who the father of your child/children will be. Some moms have a known donor or friend. I chose to have an unknown donor and used a sperm bank. 

    I decided to become a single mom by choice and dove straight into it after i made my decision there was really no down time and i was learning i went. I bought my donor sperm after i was told that my tubes were blocked because i knew i was going to do IVF after my polypectomy. 

     So before i could purchase sperm i had to decide what traits I wanted in a donor. Of course I googled “ how to purchase donor sperm” online and I found a article that said to choose bases on who you would date, which honestly makes since. As i was scrolling I found that it was very hard to find black donors. There are very few and they tend to get purchased very quick. Once i found one that I liked, I purchased 1 vial. Some people purchase more that 1 just in case they have to do more than 1 egg retrieval. After purchase I had it shipped to my fertility clinic and it will be stored there until i had my egg retrieval.
